100 year old color photographs of Russia

    I think I did. Some of the shots were from WWII. The shots looked as fresh as the day they were shot. Amazing. Some were 4x5 Kodachromes if I remember correctly.

    The circus collection is very different, not the WWII homefront propaganda shots in wide circulation.

    The composition of the Russian images are terrific. This feller understood rule of thirds and other artistic composition criteria. I wonder if he studied art?

    I have a book of his photographs and they are truly amazing considering all these pictures were shot before the Russian Revolution in October 1917.
