    I'm old enough to remember the London 1948 Olympics, and I find what time can do to fit young people very sad.

    Yes, time will catch up to us all. You can't live a long life without getting old. In this case, I think the camera is being very kind. If they were photographed in more of a documentary style, we might feel their age even more.

    I liked these photos and I think it was a good choice of style for this story, but they pale in comparison to some of his other work: http://www.damonwinter.com Very talented photographer indeed.

    Bookmarked. He's a great portrait photographer indeed and the treatment of the Olympian images really works with the subjects. It is interesting to note the inclusion of the rebate, which seems to be something lots of high-profile photographers are doing at the moment, with published images. An important and timely statement for anyone who cares about film.

    EDIT: Scrap that, an incredible photographer all round.
