The difference is; you'd pay 1300 dollars for a Gold Dot, and I won't be able to get 300 for this. A real win for the smart buyer. This lens is a pleasure in use. The Polaroid Copal 1 shutter has a small repair where the cable release enters. It works perfectly in use and all speeds are dead on. Aperture scale is correct as transcribed.
