Any models produced, particularly interchangeable lens SLR's, that had infrared remote release?

Canon New F-1 and I think the A-1 and other late FD models had this option. The motor drive has a subminiature phone socket for a simple electric release (just a switch), so any IR or radio trigger will work. I use a 100-foot electric release cable made for movie cameras with my New F-1.

The Minolta Maxxum 5 QD has IR built in and the remote is quite inexpensive.

EOS Elan II or IIe has infrared remote control for shutter release.

The Olympus iS range has IR remote, but not interchangeable lenses.
