I'm looking for photographers that use geometry, color and pattern to create abstracts. Found abstracts, not manufactured ones. I've Googled but haven't found much. If you have suggestions of photographers doing this kind of work, I'd appreciate hearing who.
    Thanks,

    Currently, I'm not sure

But Laszlo Moholy Nagy and Alexander Rodchenko both did a lot of abstract work.

Aaron Siskind used to do abstracts from torn posters on walls.

I find Jacob Felländer's pictures quite abstract. He uses 120-film and does what he calls cityscapes. He is getting known in his native Sweden right now, and has also had some success abroad.

Minor White, also. Again, perhaps not colour, but definitely 'found' abstracts.

Funny, I am working on a book of abstract nudes. All B/W. It will be using patterns made from natural light using shadows and textures. Am hoping to shoot today. Feel free to email me at Lightwisps@yahoo.com

Gianni Galassi does - mainly urban abstracts. Most of his stuff is digital now, but he still does some film stuff from time to time.

Pete Turner, although he did start doing manufactured abstracts at one point in his career, his earlier work is great.

Galassi really seems to fit the OP question, a photographer who uses geometry and patterns to create abstract, not "made" but "existing" abstract, although not much colour. I like his pictures a lot. When I become rich and go into B&W I think I will dedicate myself also to that kind of photography.

Hmm, but he does fall into the category of manufactured abstracts now I think about it.

Here's another who I've been trying to find out about for a while. Doesn't seem to have a website.

You will find many abstractions on my website from the past 50 years, however, all black and white.

For an addition to you John , Russian constructivists had been banned at Soviets and immigrated to Germany for Bauhaus school. In my research , bauhaus never be able to reach the soviet creativity and they were awful. I researched this subject to what can be done after 90 years and I found many many artists. If I go to Russia , I will copy many books and put in to the torrent file. The knowledge may be 50 GB will swirl in the world and impress the artists and whoever.
For the last word , new architects are lost in the nonlinear and genetic morphogenis which have no practical reason but climbs the building costs. Only s.... loaded arabs invest money in them.
I am finding great relief and sympathy , aesthetic and music in constructivism.
John , where can I find these books for library loan from US ? You are an architect and reveal yourself at your latest river pictures. I am thinking to make rectangular cuts and collages after my 1954 FED1 reaches here.
