    Dear All,

As promised, I am now able to update the availability of the HARMAN TiTAN Pinhole Camera.

But first, we have been been absolutely amazed at the interest generated by this new product and even more stunned by the level of advance orders that have been placed by our distributor partners around the world.

As these cameras are effectively hand built in the UK, we already will need to stagger shipments to our distributors to ensure all markets have fair shares of units as they are supplied to us from the maker.

The first HARMAN TiTANS from full production run one, will be available in the USA / North American retail market by late November / Early December.

Europe and Australia will also be Late November.

UK Will see units in early November.

Other markets will likely be early 2012 and supplied from full production run two that have already been ordered.

The full kit will now also include 10 sheets of MULTIGRADE paper to make paper negs, as well as the Direct Positive FB paper and the DELTA 5x4 Film.

Further information will be posted on our websites in the coming weeks.

Looks great Simon - kinda glad I haven't let my 5x4 film holders leave the building just yet! :D

Most certainly not have I shot at f/206 before. Reason enough to get one

But seriously, this sounds like one cool device. The only thing holding me back at this stage is my inexperience with processing and printing 4x5. Also, my enlarger only goes to 6x9 (talking cm here) . Not sure if I'd be happy with just contact prints.

The TiTAN sounds ideal for hiking and travelling. I don't see any weights specified, but very heavy it can't be, not even with a back and a modest tripod added.

    Interesting!

I wonder how long it will take for someone to modify this to enable use of a focussing lens?

    ^ Why?
It's a pinhole camera (albeit imaginative and a notch up on many common designs). It therefore has it's own characteristics that do not rely on focusing but the formation of an image through a primitive brass shim. Making it a focusing camera will destroy its appeal. If photographers want a focusing 5x4 they would be better served buying a Wista.

    Dear All,

Due to the level of interest and questions we have received about the HARMAN TiTAN our tech service have made a video and posted it on You Tube, we also have a new press release about this on the ILFORDPhoto.com website.

Availability of the TiTAN Pinhole Camera

Do you know if the TiTan pinhole camera will be available in Canada? I haven't been able to locate anything other than possibly early December.
