What a great loss of a great and important photographer who is best known for aerial and mountaineering photographs.

I saw an exhibit of his work in Boston a few years ago and was very impressed. He contributed much to photography and a few other pursuits.

I had the good fortune to meet Mr. Washburn some years ago at an exhibit of his photographs at Mount Holyoke College. His work was exhibited along with the legendary mountain photographer Vittorio Sella. The two giants of mountain photography for sure.

Brad's wife Barbara was the first woman to summit Mount McKinley in Alaska. A delightful couple.
