If I bring my box camera [Hasselblad 503 CX] to work I will get fired, because we cannot have any cameras at work.

    That includes cell phone cameras.

I will bring it to Joshua Tree that day to shoot with Per.

Ok, will use Houghton & Butcher 2 1/4. Not actually at 'work' tho since I tag miscreants at the moment - at night! Will do it during the day as I prepare the paperwork!

    LOL

Yes, it is. the camera body is a basic box with some added goodies like a mirror and some gears. => glad you liked the humor.

My office is a windowless box, and I have several box cameras in it...I am assuming Brownie sort of cameras...along with various 4x5's in different forms, a few 120 cameras (besides the Brownies) and several 35mm's...and a few Polaroids. Oh, and a stack of 8x10 pinhole cameras made out of old 250 sht boxes of photo paper...cameras literally made out of boxes!!

This is all amusing, had I known further in advance, I might have waited. But the situation is a little strange anyway, as I no longer work! Anyway, in my retirement, as I inflict more silliness on PBase about my camera "collection" I realized I don't currently know the whereabouts of any shots known to have come from my Brownie Target 620. So I respooled a roll of Delta 100 and put it through less than two weeks ago. Probably first time it had film in it in at least 40 years or more.

Technically it appears the Target 620 doesn't qualify for toy camera day, as it's not plastic(!) The outer box is some sort of fake leather covered cardboard, the inside is a mix of sheet metal and what looks to be a wooden block. (It predates the Hawkeye series which were plastic -- or bakelite.)

Anyway, it still works and I've had it since it was new, circa 1950. Guess Mom & Dad made a good investment . . .

When I got up this morning, my 2 Holgas peeked out the window and saw the snow on the ground, and promptly went back to bed. Dang it!
