For sale today is a nice Canon Canonet QL17 GIII rangefinder camera in very good condition, but with a couple of minor issues that should not affect its usability. The camera is in excellent cosmetic condition, with only minor signs of wear. The viewfinder and rf patch are both clear and bright, but the front viewfinder window could benefit from an internal cleaning. The rangefinder appears to be in proper alignment both horizontally and vertically. The meter is working, as are the automatic functions. The battery check light does not light up, but this may be due to an aging battery. The original foam light seals have been replaced with felt material. The filter ring is rather chewed up, as seen in the photos, however, a filter can still be attached. And close inspection of the lens shows some internal dust behind the front element, and around the far outside periphery (outer 1-2mm) there appears to be what is either a tiny amount of lens separation, or perhaps incipient fungus, I am not certain. The focus is smooth, and the aperture and shutter speed rings both move freely. The self-timer works, and there is no lens wobble. This is a good user camera as-is, but could be made excellent with a proper CLA. If the buyer wishes, I will include a second GII "parts or repair" camera. This second body has working electronics and meter, but fungus in the lens, a sticky shutter, and the shutter speed ring will not turn lower than 1/30th of a second. $65.00 US + $10.70 shipping for US buyers, international buyers, please contact me for shipping method and rates.
