This year our winter outing will be at Mohican State Park. Base camp is the Mohican Lodge and Conference Center.

We (Sue and I) will arrive on the 18th as soon as we can on Friday and explore the area, hike in the cold, search for some rare birds over-wintering in the area and absolutely for certain take some great photographs.

We have been to the area before but know little about the trails, countryside and opportunities. We will be posting more here in the thread leading up to the adventure.

Please come and join us and celebrate winter photography. Hope it snows!

Hope you are recovering, Lee. This has been a strange winter; haven't been able to photograph snowy scenes or go cross country skiing.

    Thanks all,
Hope to still get out for some winter photography yet this winter. I really love it and have learned over time you have to pace yourself as you venture out into the cold.
