i am selling artisan roasted sumatran robusta coffee beans
to use as the coffee component in caffenol developer.
unlike instant coffee, this is 100% robusta beans
and is better than any instant coffee i have used.

it is to be course ground ( i use a mortar but you can use a grinder )
and brewed. i use a perk but you can use anything you want ..
i have double brewed my coffee ( brewed it 2x ) and traditional brewed it ...

this developer lasts forever and works with film as well as paper.
i processed about 100 films and papers through a batch i made in december
and only because of cold feet decided to remove some old and add some new.
( i didn't replenish i just kept reusing what i had and my results were great )

    i add a tiny bit of ansco 130 ( about 20cc / 10 "cups" on the perk )
and stand develop for around 25mins ... c41, e6, b/w, paper, its all gone through
with no complaints. paper takes 2x your normal development time to fully develop ( image appears for me in 2mins )

    how much ??

enough to make 1L of developer ( you provide your own soda and vit c ) 7$ + shipping
i know it is more expensive than instant ... i make small roasting batches
and as i said, this developer lasts forever ...

please see this for details ...

    please PM any questions.

( sorry i can only sell to us addresses )

the link to my blog were both the beans and images processed by those beans.
you can also look at any of the photographs ( paper negatives, film + prints ) in my apug subscribers gallery
--- they were processed in this developer if the date is after dec 10th 2010 ...

    thanks for your interests!

I don't know if this has been discussed, but since you have raw beans, have you tried brewing developer from them?

    hi david

nope i haven't brewed developer from unroasted beans ...
i have heard conflicting information on whether or not
caffic acid is reduced by roasting ( like caffeine ) so i haven't
committed any film ( or paper ) to that sort of test ...

    thanks for your interest!

John: I love the way you wrote about making and enjoying your coffee in the blog. Few pleasures have been celebrated in words as you have done.

I'm looking for the "like" button. Yikes, I think I've spent too much time on Facebook. What is Ansco 130?
