    Hey guys,

So when I initially bought my RZ67 II it came with this finder, the owner before me said he had gotten it used because he didn't like the WL Finder, so it came with my kit. Well it never worked and I couldn't figure out why, then I realized after some research it was because I had the Pro II body and this finder only works (electronically) with the original RZ67 body. Sadly I don't know anyone with the original Pro body to officially test it, all I get when I use it is that the lights do show up and indicate under exposure always, but I think that's a product of it not working with my body, not the finder being broken, that said, I can't guarantee it will work either. It's in pretty rough shape, but absolutely no mold or fungus, anyone who knows me, knows I'm stupid careful about that, so rest assured, it's safe. It appears as if the coating on the inside of the eyecup area has come loose inside the body, it's hard to describe but it just looks like formica.

ANYWAY, I've really only used it as a finder when I have my tripod really high and can't see the WLF, but it's so rare for me to be that high, and it takes up a lot of space in my bag, so I'm selling it, CHEAP, or I think it's cheap considering the prices of these things. It's really beat up looking, this has been well loved, just not by me, it was like this when I got it, it doesn't have a cap for the body attaching area either, I know they are like $20 new at B&H I just never bothered to get one as the way I had it positioned in my bag the glass was protected by the foam.

    $78 CONUS total including shipping!

    Here are some pictures...

I'm also willing to trade for some 4x5 LF items, Transparency film, or a cheap lens perhaps. A Ground Glass Loupe, umm I dunno, think of something you think is fair and ask, there's lots of stuff I might need.

Adding to the pot, a Mamiya RZ67 Pro (original) 120 back.

I have a Pro II and enough Pro II backs, this came with an additional Polaroid back I needed for a project and I don't use it. It looks like the light seals are good on the back, the part that attaches to the camera looks like its started to degrade a bit, but it functions fine. I included images, you can see the back part is fine but at the four corners where the film holder part attaches to the back plate, the foam looks not as good, but so far as I can tell its not so important and on my Pro II models the foam is simply missing so I'm guessing it wasn't necessary anyway.

Selling it cheap $48 including shipping or as above I'll trade for things plus an APUG donation will be made by me from some of the profits of the sale.

Can someone elaborate on the difference in RB/RZ Prism Finders? Is it just with AE and without AE? Thanks!

RB finders can be used on RZ bodies, without any electronic connections between finder and body. RZ finders cannot fit RB bodies without modification.

As for other differences, three RB finders have meters. The magnifying "chimney" finder, and two different prism finders. Of course there are no connections to the lens controls on an RB.

actually I believe the non metering prism finder model 2 works with both RB and RZ models. I would like to have one of those for portrait work. sorry to keep this thread off topic :s

No worries, I consider conversation a free *bump* when I'm limited to every 3 days haha.

Do you own an RB or RZ? You can have THIS one for portrait work and just take out the connector contacts, that's probably why it doesn't fit on an RB body... that is if you own both RB and RZ ... and if you have an RZ only then this one is just perfect for your purposes

Can not be used on RZ Pro II, unless modified.

The Prism II will work on either original RZ Pro or Pro II bodies, no modification needed.

RZ Pro (only) 'PD Metering (non AE) Prism Finder'

Will not work with Pro II RZ bodies, not modifiable for use with Pro II.

Sometimes there is nomenclature confusion between 'Prism Finder II' and 'Model 2' Prism finders.
Prism finder 'II' is an AE finder for RZ Pro and Pro II model cameras.
Model '2' Prism finders are non-metered and can be used on both RB and RZ.

Thanks, I'm still a little confused, all I know is this attaches fine to my RZ Pro II and the meter lights up but does not function properly because it's not meant to go on this model, but it does physically attach for use as a viewfinder, which is what the other poster said he wanted, a non-metered finder.

Also, as I mentioned, If the meter doesn't work on the proper model (according to above the RZ Pro ONLY) and the buyer wants to return it, I'll accept that.

yes I don't believe this one will work on an RB camera (which is what I have). Only the non metering "model 2" is interchangeable. I wish they had been more systematic about the names for these accessories
