Ok so I have a few questions about my Fuji GW690.

-The aperture ring is marked very well however I'm curious what the specific f/stops are in between ƒ/8 and ƒ/11, ƒ/11 and ƒ/16, ƒ/22 and ƒ/32. These all seam to be about a stop different but I'm still curious if its ƒ/14 or ƒ/13 for example in between 11 and 16. It shouldn't be a giant exposure difference but when I shoot slide film I tend to be super super careful with exposure since I only have 8 shots and often shoot stuff like E100G and don't want to waste anything since its a discontinued film (although I have yet to screw up really at all).

-How does the cable release work? I see a silver hole on the side of the lens and then I see a hole in the top shutter release and thats where I most often see other cameras cable releases go. I guess I wish I had sort of an anatomy chart for this beast! But its a very enjoyable and simple camera overall.

-Any Fuji GW690 owners have anything else to pitch in? I really love this camera, in fact I like it better than my DSLR...although I suspect thats not surprising on a forum like APUG! :D

    There's a table of half-stops here-

Although the mechanical leaf shutter probably has more error than the difference between f/13 and f/14.

The cable release goes into the shutter release button. The silver thing on the lens is the flash sync. If your camera has T, not B, you need to stop T by moving the shutter dial. Most people use a lens cap to block the lens before doing this operation.

Manual (II and yours are pretty much the same)-

Thanks. My camera has the T setting vs the Bulb setting I am used to. I've heard that you can just cover the lens with the cap but I figured removing it would still cause shake....others have suggested using a baseball cap or something...I figure this would work at night where its already dark during long exposures but not during only moderate exposures like 4-8 seconds. I've done a few long exposures on it already but I REALLY had to lock the tripod down and of the ones I took it was like 1/8 were sharp. I figured the aperture difference was miniscule but I just like to ask. Thanks for the link!
