Looking for any info on this lens, all I'm finding on the web is that a chap named Paul Fitzgerald owns two of them. I'm looking to use it as a portrait lens on an 8x10 for wetplate. Any leads on coverage, original use and anything else welcome.

    From the Vade Mecum:
Note, there is no mention of a 500mm f4.5, but I assume it is similar.

I know John Dugdale has one on his studio Deardorff and it covers 11x14, so it will also cover 8x10 with movement.

You can also remove the front element and use it as a nice meniscus..

The lens stopped down to 6.3 with some massive shift and swing on the rear standard to get the couple both in focus.
