    Hi!

I found this site through the February article in Black & White Magazine. I was curious and I found a wealth information! I am happy to be a new member. I use a Canon AE-1 Program and I have just purchased a Elan 7e (my first foray into autofocus-the eyes arent what they used to be).

    Welcome Nikki...

Don't care for your town too much, but the surrounding countryside is fantastic! "

I dont care for Vegas very much either, but this is where I grew up for the most part and where the work is. I'm a designer for a civil engineering firm here. Construction is booming out here...

My parents live out in Vegas, so I'm in the neighborhood occasionally, and other APUG types like Dave Wooten nearby and Jim Galli up in Tonopah aren't too far away. Looks like there should be critical mass for some kind of Vegas APUG event someday. Welcome.

Hello and welcome! My eyes aren't what they used to be either. When / if they get any worse, I'm going to get a better dark cloth and step up to an 8x10...

Gidday, Nikki, and welcome from Melbourne, Australia.
I love Las Vegas, but I really love Death Valley, not too far away.

Hey Nikki! I have an old AE-1 and I have an Elan 7e! I love my Elan 7! It's a great workhorse...really versatile! I also do some medium format, too.

So...welcome to APUG! What kind of stuff do you like to shoot? This is a great place to find answers, make friends and learn tons! :D

I'm really new to photography. I haven't found a subject I love to shoot yet so I guess I shoot a little bit of everything from my kids to the nearest cactus! Thanks to all for the warm welcome!

I haven't spent much time in the desert but this year is my year to get out there and *see* Las Vegas and Nevada. I have lived here so long and have never bothered with much other than the tiny details of my life. Do you exhibit your work here in town?

Hi Nikki. Welcome aboard from another Nevadan. Las Vegas is indeed a conundrum. I could spend a month there and never find a photo and others go into artistic overload as soon as they dis-embark. Jim in Tonopah Nevada.
