So I know someone who wants to sell me this camera:
    http://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/pho/3357857793.html

He said he'll give it to me for 300. Think its a good deal? I currently own a MF camera so I dont have a clue about how these things work.
Does it come with pretty much everything I need? (It says it includes one 4x5 film holder). And how do you focus with these beasts, it's not like a rangefinder is it?
It comes with a 210mm, which isnt wide enough for me. So i would be buying a 90mm when I get the chance. What is lens compatibility like? Price range?

    Thanks guys!

i don't know if that's a good deal, but this one is a slammin' deal:

Email and ask him if he might consider shipping. I bought some stuff from him the other day; super nice guy, very trustworthy. Comes with a 90mm too :D

The second deal is definitely great. The lenses are worth more than that.

Too many questions at this stage might not actually serve much purpose.

OK ! Now, Get a copy of: Using The View Camera, by Steve Simmons.

    I'm not impressed by Package # 1
Package # 2 looks like a Big Ass Box Full O' Goodies !

Google Large Format Photography Forum. Click on Home Page in the upper left hand corner. There is a wealth of free information there.

Quite a few Apug members, including me, are members there as well.

I also recommend the Steve Simmons book that Ron told you to get. It's very easy to understand and has lots of photos.
