Please go to www.JandCphoto.com for the latest update.

I have had a heads up on this for several days and know some of the backstory from both sides.

I wish John all the best as well as all parties concerned.

I'm sorry for what has taken place for everyone.

Wow, this is really a bummer. Well dealing with J&C was a pleasure and all I can say it was a privilege being a J&C customer.

John - all the best for the future

Agreed, this sucks. But I can understand just not wanting to deal with the irritation anymore.

    Good luck,

I'm very sorry to hear this too. I don't know what is wrong with my fellow-countrymen, that we are so often suing people or threatening to sue them.

A most unfortunate sequence of events.

Very unfortunate. J&C was a real shining star in our community in my opinion. I hope the other parties involved our proud of themselves for ruining someone.

I feel saddened by the loss of a supplier like this, however... realistically... you cannot close your business down, fail to communicate with people who have ordered from you, and expect that nothing will change. It's just not the way business is done. Customers need to know that if they order from a company they will get what they ordered when it was promised for delivery.

So while it is very sad to see this company go, it is not exactly a "sudden" death.

As for the involvement, or hint of involvement of some other company... it's best not to make unfounded accusations unless you are prepared to present facts. For example... did another company hold up shipments to them on purpose so J&C could not make shipping dates? Or did those other businesses tell customers who had been waiting for 6 months for undelivered product that they would supply it? There is a big difference.

I never had the pleasure of becoming a customer and had great hopes of doing so. I can appreciate the loss, based on the good feelings they instilled in their customers.

    Hi All,

I am closing this thread due to concerns I have about participants speculating. Some will of course not be happy about my decision but I can see no good coming out of a thread like this running wild..

    Thanks,
    Sean

P.S. I too wish John all the best and hope to work with him further in the future.

Photo Engineer has expressed to me his regret that the thread turned that way. It was not his intention.
