Since I've been ordering Double-X from Kodak for my Rapakpan sales, I've noticed a significant problem with availability of even 400' loads of XX in many countries. In order to make this film available to as many people as possible, I've decided to offer direct sales of fresh 400 ft. loads of Kodak Double-X to the world. For those of you that are interested, each roll is $259 USD (EUR 200) shipped and insured to most of North and South America, Western Europe, Oceania, and Western Asia. Other areas have higher shipping rates, so contact me to confirm your rate.

Yes, this is originally motion-picture film. This exact emulsion was used in Schindler's List and the opening scene of Casino Royale. It is a traditional emulsion with a little more grain than most newer B&W films, especially for its ISO of 250. I like to use it for "grittier" subjects; places where the increased grain benefits the subject. You can develop it like any other B&W film; I use 10:00 in D-76 1:1, but the Massive Dev Chart has times for different developers.

The pricing in my OP is for 35mm rolls, but if you are interested in 16mm versions, I will be able to provide them as well, for a good deal less than the 35mm price.

Hmm. Sounds like something I would like to try but I think 400' is a little too much for my bulk loader to handle. Although it looks like your only a few minutes away.

I would be interested in 100-200' but I assume you're not really interested in spooling which I fully understand.

Not when you include priority shipping, packing, and international postal insurance. This sale is not designed for people living in N. America, this is for people living where Kodak marks up the film cost 200% or more for direct sales. Since I'm ordering the film for resale, I'm not eligible for the educational discount, and since I don't live next door to a Kodak warehouse, I still have to pay for them to ship the film to me.

It also seems that there is considerable interest in getting 100 ft. rolls of XX for bulk loaders. I don't have the necessary supplies to offer it now, but I will look into offering this in the near future. Keep your eye on the classifieds!

It is a great film. I bought two 36 films on one auction last year to test it - expensive stuff here in Europe.

I can vouch for the OP I've bought his re-rolled 35mm and it was great, turned me onto it.

Results may vary, I've pushed this slightly in Rodinal so it's even more contrasty and grainy than normal, but it's a really great film and I want more!

    Hi Stone,
There is a serial number and bar code visible in your print. Is this a code on the film itself? If so, it there a system for it?

This code exists on most 35mm film by Kodak usually in CN film.

I don't know about the bar code but I'm sure it matches the 5222 designation.
