... introduce myself - looks like I´m going to stay at this comfortable place. I found APUG just recently, after the german forum I usually use got beaten up by a handfull of trolls. :-( And I already found a handful of familiar names over here.

    In short:

I´m Roman, 27 years of age, student in Kaiserlauterns, living at the Mosel in southwestern Germany.

    In long:

Currently shifting from a technical approach on photography towards a result oriented one... we´ll see how this plays out. I somewhat doubt I can stand it - there are already three enlargers in my darkroom list. ;-)

Gear? Too much. Way too much. Fav´gear is my Kiev88Six with the beautiful 4,5/55 PCS, accompanied with a 1955 Zorkii 3S and the J12 2,8/35, the "Biogon sister". When going on a limited weight either my Minox35 or a Olympus 35RC are stuffed in my pockets and a Rolleicord Vb around my neck. Nice brick and a perfect "stealth cap" when shooting film in the public.

I withstand the digital gadgets and allmost exclusively use bw film (fav is Efke R50 in Rodinal)... my last slide film was exposed 16 months ago, can´t remember myself using a CN film in some years.

My favourite topic is architectural photography, I make use of this in my education... besides that I currently notice a slight shift towards details, structures in pictorial style.

    Roman

Welcome to APUG, Roman. As you may recall from the Kiev forum, I also have one of those lovely 55mm/4.5 PC Arsat lenses.

Welcome Roman from Hawaii. I was just in Germany last year; I lived there over 20 years ago. So, I am looking forward to seeing some of your images in the gallery.

Thanks for the kind welcome... but where did I say I´d share my prints with anyone? ;->

No, just kidding... my scanner is dying under my hands, contrast is down.

Robert, where did you stay? If you came to Germany with the Air Force (Ramstein, Spangdahlem, Hahn... or Bad Kreuznach/Baumholder with the Army) chances are pretty good that you lived close to my home...

Everytime I see the title I think of the Rolling Stones ... showing my age again.

Roman a very warm welcome and look forward to seeing your work
