Consolidating my camera collection and this one has to go! It's a Linhof Technika III model V large format, 4x5 field camera in excellent condition. This is the last model of the Technika III, made circa 1955. Essentially, this is the same body as the Technika IV, but lacks the ability of forward tilt. The effect can still be achieved by dropping the body and raising the front standard. Like all German made camera, this thing is built like a tank. All the movements are smooth, and everything fits together perfectly. Bellows are in decent shape. There is a small rip on the portion that remains in the body, but it's only in the top layer. The rangefinder looks clear, however I have never tested it with a cam. But lets be honest, no one really uses the rangefinder on these things. Ground screen looks clear, and comes with a fresnel glass as well. Cosmetically, the camera is pretty good for it's age. The leather is in pretty good shape for the most part. As you can tell from the photos, the door has a couple of scratches. The bottom/tripod mount has significantly more scratches. However, this is pretty common. One side of the rotating back has some patina in the metal (see photo). Original strap is still in tact.
