    2013 LVAA Photo Competition
    Juror: Henry Horenstein

The 2013 LVAA Photo Competition is a juried exhibition open to all photographers, video and film artists residing in Kentucky or any of the seven border states to Kentucky. The juried competition is presented by the Louisville Visual Art Association (LVAA), Kentucky’s oldest arts organization (established in 1909), and features fine photographic art from artists in Kentucky and contiguous states: Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. The 2013 LVAA Photo Competition exhibit is presented as part of the 2013 Louisville Photo Biennial, October 2013 at PUBLIC, 131 W. Main Street, Louisville KY 40202.

The Photo Biennial, Louisville’s premier photographic festival, will take place October 1 – 31, 2013. Embracing local, national and international photography, workshops, symposia, public discussions and more than 30 exhibitions citywide, the Photo Biennial will celebrate artistic excellence in the rich and diverse medium. The Photo Biennial represents a cooperative effort among local museums, galleries, universities and other public venues to give viewers the opportunity to learn about and to appreciate photography, spanning its history to present, from local and global artists.
