Does anyone use the matmaster cutters available from Frameco? They seem expensive when compared with the Logan branded cutters. Just wondered whether they are worth the extra $ or are they a rip off.

They look like they are built fine. Since the cutters and rails are anodized aluminum, they should give you no problems. If you still aren't sure, get a 40% off coupon from Michael's Craft store and buy the Logan brand.

I have a Logan "Framers' Edge" and find it rather flimsy. If I were to do it over I would probably look for a good used Fletcher. Problem with used mat cutters is that many are past-worn-out from duty in a frame shop.
