    This looks nice. Might be the answer you are looking for, surely it will be easy to zero.

    Haha I doubt it. There's always a problem (or several). You can't use this lens or that lens etc. Regarding my "zero obsession", it isn't just zeroing, it's having the thing actually be precisely aligned when it's zeroed. I'm fine with marking my own zero settings. I'd just like it to be the same twice. Anyway the prices on these things are batsh1t crazy for what you get :D. Arca, Ebony, Linhof, whatever. I just wish there was a way to try these things out before buying. Oh well.
