Since Agfa Viradon is no longer available what polysulfide toner is everyone using? I see Freestyle has Legacy Pro Brown toner which I guess is supposed to be similar to Kodak Brown toner which is supposed to similar to Kodak T-8, correct? I always thought Kodak Brown toner and Viradon were different beasts and preferred Viradon. I do direct toning on MGWT and indirect on MGIV.

    Now what? Suggestions?

I'm using Legacy Pro Brown toner. Seem to work just fine.

Photographers' Formulary sells their own brand of polysulfide toner which they claim is similar to Kodak T-8. I make my own using the same formula as PF's (see MSDS). PF also sells the potassium polysulfide.

Viradon uses sodium polysulfide whereas Kodak uses potassium polysulfide.

Interesting. I wonder if this is the difference between the two. Can one mix up T-8 with sodium polysulfide instead of potassium polysulfide?
