I got to see a bunch of Jan's 4x5 platinum contact prints at Per's house the last time I was over there (3 years or so). They were like jewels.
    Wish I lived closer.

Also, I will provide some serious snacks and common beverages to help us through the day and avoid a full lunch break.

Those without big negs will have an option to have their portrait done with 4x5 polaroid 55 neg for use in printing.

You may bring your own beverages or snacks as well. Wine is totally acceptable...

    GREAT WORKSHOP!!!

Jan Pietrzak knows his stuff - AND he knows how to present Platinum printing in a rational manner and straight to the point.

Put Jan Pietrzak together with Matt Blais and you have the main ingredients for a wonderful workshop experience!

Jan made everyone make platinum prints at an amazing speed. Yes, everyone went home with at least one good print, plus a burning desire to make a lot more prints in the future.
Matt did a great job organizing the workshop. He also provided a perfect, informal workshop setting in his house and darkroom - and made sure everyone was well fed!

If Jan and Matt decide to do another workshop like this in the future sign up ASAP. This workshop is well worth your time and your money!!!

    Thanks Jan and Matt!

I will sure be taking some workshops in the future. I have wanted to do Platinum printing for many years. I don't think I can make it to the Photo conference at ACCD either. I haven't been there since I was a student, wonder it has changed?

I'll second Per's endorsement of the workshop. We all had a great time and learned a lot!!! Matt was the perfect host with a terrific darkroom set up. Jan gave us terrific insight into the process and help us read our negs properly so we could get a good print.

It was just enough to whet your appetite and give you "G.A.S." (gear acquisition syndrome). Now we all need larger format cameras, UV light sources, chemistry, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Thanks to Jan and Matt...although my credit card isn't gonna' be happy!!!!
