    Hi all,

This thread is meant to collect comments, feedback and what else belongs to the postcard exchange after the sign up for round 13 is closed.

I want to thank all participants for ... participation  - Thanks!

And a special thanks in advance goes to all those people in this exchange who will send their cards in time. Thanks!

Well, a special thanks also to those members of round 12 and 11 who have not yet send their cards, but who will present those 'cards surprise' in this round. Thanks!

And a very special thanks goes to the moderator who will make this thread sticky and all the other threads in this sub forum (except the introduction and schedules thread) unsticky. Thanks!

    Have fun and ciao

Thanks Ruediger for your effort. My address is correct, thanks. I don't know if this is a place to ask, what happened to Randy? I have not see him post anything in a long time. Is he OK?

I am just in the process of sending an address change for Jake Williams. I think the address on your list is the address of his parents (Jake?). So if cards are already sent, they will reach him a bit indirect. But who ever has Jake on the list please change the address.

    Sorry for that.

    ciao

Kodak and Ilford even if we're not using either of their products? I'll feel slightly bad sullying Simon's postcard board so he can't say it's all done on ilford postcard paper :D (then again, when I visited there was a cyanotype there too so it'd not be the first...)

    Hi Greg,

I do not know. I have not heard back from him since we started round 11. He does not respond to emails nor to PMs.

:D Actually Simon should have two cyanotypes on Stonehenge paper, two Polaroid transfers on Arches paper, two colour prints on Kodak paper and one instant print on Fuji paper at least since I have been participating in this exchange and sending him postcards.

    ilford, of course

A bunch of my prints for this round were printed on Ilfobrom that expired in 1971. I suspect Simon Galley might not have been too active in Ilford when that paper was made, but of course I'll send him the print.

Not to knock the present Ilford system, but I knew the expiry date because there was a little price sticker like label that said 'expired sept 1971' on the package. Ah, the good old days. Not like today when we look for patterns in scattered chicken bones tossed onto the box to figure out when your current paper stock is due to expire.

And Mary Jane gets one too, because my card this round is a goodbye send eulogy to HIE.

And Randy stays in the loop for getting this exchange happening to the level it has built to today.

Hats off to rst for keeping this round ticking.

All of my cards are in the mail.

Thanks Mike for reminding me about my beloved HIE!!! I think maybe I will choose an infrared image for this round. I call this year, "The Year Of Infrared", as it's our last gasp at the stuff. Luckily I managed to buy what I could find back east thanks to Art!

Big Thanks to Ruediger for keeping the exchange going!!!

I received Dietmars card today as well. I really appreciate it.

Can it be considered cheating having the cards ready when you get the adresses, it puts the rest of us in bad light...

    regards

Hehe, you mean I should not post the number of participants during sign up, so that nobody knows the amount of cards to print before I send out the address data

Got Dietmar's horse field today. What format did you shoot it in? Real lovely details.

Also got Mike's, love the negative space.

Got my first two today: Dietmar's horses (ponies?). Beautiful print and I love the way you have arranged all of the elements around the frame. I also got Mike's IR shot. Thanks for a bit of Canada long gone. Unusual to see a light sky with IR, interesting. Thanks for the old paper, the surface takes me back, as does the price info. You must have taken good care of this paper over the years. Your text reminds one of what makes photography so interesting and unique: it has this direct connection to what is no longer around, sometimes that is all we now have. Thanks, I look forward to another great round of pics.

Received Buster6x6s detailed image of a Barn Find. Lots of interesting detail. I wonder, how would that be if you made a really large print of the negative?
