    Hi,

please recommend protection filter for Contax 645 Distagon 35mm f2.8 lens.
The filter should be made of quality glass (B+W, etc) and accept the lens cap.

    Thank!

I think it's a 35mm f3.5 lens. It takes a 95mm filter. Both Heliopan and BW make UV filters in this size. I'd recommend one of the "thin" filters made for very wide angle lenses. The new multicoated filters are better, e.g., BW calls theirs MRC filters.

Ooops, of course, it's f3.5

The thin filters have no front threads and not accept lens cap. This is very uncomfortable. I had such a filter (CP for a Nikon lens) in the past and sold it.
I currently ordered B+W MRC, should get it soon.
