    Hey people,

Would you guys be up for a final apug/ireland outing of 2007?

I'd like to shoot some seascapes and thinking cork or waterford. Any ideas / interest?

Been a long time since my last visit to Ireland, but I don't think you'll do poorly with any of the coastlines.

Sorry I won't be joining you.

I'm in... the holga and I will be arriving on skateboard! Har har... Let me ask around... I haven't been here long enough to know anywhere particularly groovy looking. Cath.

I'm in. There are some nice shots just a few minutes drive from my house but you really need the tide and lighting to be right. Might be nice to try some a bit further afield waterford way (you can tie your skateboard to the back of my car fluffy...only joking, you can have a lift if you like). I can ask around to see if there are any recommendations.

    Fintan,

Sounds good to me. I have holidayed in Waterford for some years, but to be honest I prefer just across the water in Wexford as I personally feel it has a better selection of shooting locations especially the Hook peninsula. In fact within a small area you can get, Seascapes, ancient ruins, graveyards, mud flats and the oldest lighthouse in Europe. The fact the I know the area well may be influencing me :D. It's where I shot the boat Peter was asking about. Just a suggestion.

Cork and especially West Cork is also beautiful.

If you do the Cork area, the Dunbeg stone circle is not to be missed! Sure wish I could join you guys, but just about anywhere on the southern end of the Island is going to be wonderful visually. Have a great outing!

I should be free Nov 24th, Dec 1st & Dec 8th. Any later is probably too close to Christmas for me.

Would anyone be interested in staying over and having an apug/ireland night out, it could be our Christmas party

Hey Mel could you help us decide on a place to go to and if there is a hotel or b+b place to stay. Dec 1st seems to suit so let's rock with that.

    Mel,

Waterford/Wexford would be my preference as it would be a much shorted drive. While I love West Cork it takes a looong time to get there from Bray.

If Wexford is selected, let me know if you need some help on locations as it is an area we include in our tours and I have know the area.

I quite fancy Wexford/Waterford way as I don't really get out there (except when I'm going to catch the ferry!). I haven't done much in West Cork either but agree it would be a "bit" of a trek for you guys.

I'd fancy waterford Mel if you dont wanna do cork, I wanted to have something close for you and fluffy. Wicklow was close for David and Síle last time.

Do you have anything seascapey in mind??

To be honest waterford is only an hour or so from me (I'm in east Cork) and it's no problem to pick up fluffy. I don't mind the drive.

The Copper coast is located between Dungarvan in the west and Tramore in the east, towards Dungarvan in the west, more precisely between Fenor / Dunhill / Kilfarrasy and Stradbally.

We could start from Dungarvan and work east. I suggest this as I think Dungarvan is a much nice place to stay than Tramore. It would also mean (I think) that it would shorten the home trip for those who would have traveled farthest to get there.
