Are there any companies that still make very small printing paper, like 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 etc?
The smallest I have seen recently is Ilford RC paper in 3 1/2 x 5.
Terrible. I have a tiny contact printer and no way to cut my paper up.
I've posted a guide how to cut photographic paper in complete darkness accurately and without special equipment, look in my Ilfochrome article. With this method you can cut 5x7 sheets into 4 sheets of the size you want.
Interesting stuff. Thanks for that. I will no doubt have to cut my own.
However, I found 2 packets of Mimosa Kiel bromide paper at the rubbish tip today (among hundreds of loose sheets all in a box, very sad).
Anyway, the size is 6.5x9cm which is perfect. There is a warm and a blue black packet. Amazingly they are not fogged.
I have two boxes here of old Ilford Contact Paper - 6.5x9cms (2.5x3.5inches) that I'm happy to send you. They're pretty much full 100 sheet packs. I'm afraid I've cheerfully used up the same size in the Bromide. It was perfectly fine but there are no guarantees on the contact paper's working condition, although it's been refrigerated here for the past year (no idea how it was stored before that). It's actual contact paper (i.e. slow), Grade 3 Single Weight Hard Glossy.
Would you like it? I won't be able to send it out until the 9th of January so it would be a belated Christmas present but it's all yours if it's of any use to you.
I went to the local craft shop and purchased a cheap rotary paper cutter, handles up to 11x14 size. Paid a whopping $9.95 for it, cuts paper and film equally well, but only one sheet at a time. But it works. I have it marked for cutting to fit 4x5 film holders, plus any other odd size I need.
Scissors still work.
Thanks Rick, I'll check it out.
I have no hands..., or arms...
There is a FB paper from Wephota in Germany, called Universal B. You can get it in sizes from 7,4x10,5 cm up to....
It's former known as Orwo. You can get it in paper weight or normal weight.
Thanks joh, where can we buy this paper?
I try to get more informations in the next days...and post it.
Their website is not very clear about ordering and so, but they say that they ship
their products also to usa, gb, and so on.
I've buyed their paper sometimes in the past.
The pricelist you can find here:
The Lumiere online Shop also sells Webphota paper they can send to the USA but the Shipping costs more than the paper
