I now have great determination to finish the counter with sink in my studio! This site has been great with some sound advice as well as being able to follow threads like the recent one by Laz127 and his KISS and Pyro principles. So I took the advice of several Jobo guys and bit the bullet and got a 3006 (still hurting from that one), and got some great advice/instructions from Per Volquartz on Rollo Pyro development, bought chems from Bostic and Sullivan. Four of the six negs were made with a FREE lens from John Stafford. He posted a question about it on the LFinfo forum and ended up just giving it to me! The lens happens to be a Peck Rapid Rectilinear. My last name is Peck and I can't believe I'm shooting with a lens that actually has my name on it. I used a pillow as the shutter but now think I need a packard The developing went great and I'm really feeling excited about the whole process of making photos and wanted to share my experiences with you all. I look forward to getting my money's worth from that damn Jobo as well as making contact prints of all these 5x7s I'm shooting. Cyanotypes I think. I honestly think I wouldn't have gotten so far so fast without this site and the people I've met here. Thanks. Alan.
