The negs are dry, one put in some nice lint free gloves, hold the neg and examine them on a lightbox.

Then, it's time to print, so they will be placed in the enlarger and if it's roll film will be advanced frame by frame.

To glove or not to glove in the enlarger phase?

I don't. The one time I tried, the negative slipped through my fingers and landed on the floor right next to the drain. Not a good place to drop a negative...

So I handle my negatives very carefully by the edges only, and use Dustoff religiously. Haven't scratched anything in the enlarger yet...
