Brass Verito's are rare indeed. And Brass Verito's with 95% of their original finish in Studio Shutters that work like they were new are exceedingly rare. And of course any Verito smaller than the 8 3/4" - 9" size are Uber Rare, and If I don't quit saying that I'm going to talk myself out of selling this!

This has been a steddy freddy in my somewhat bizarrely eclectic grouping of lenses that I tote around in my 4X5 kit. And in fact I've used it quite a lot, and when I need to bump this thread, I'll post some of my favorite images done with this lens.

Pictures tell the story about condition, but you have to hear the blades snap open and shut with a wildly fast 1/5th second to believe how well it works.

I'm not really interested in entertaining offers on this. If you want it, check ebay and you'll see people asking more than my price for painfully ordinary ones, if this size can be found at all!

$1095 + even more for the post man.

In a Studio Shutter, the shutter blades also form the aperture. I'm guessing as I'm away from home but I'll venture 15 - ish. They form an imperfect circle. It's just the nature of the 105 year old beast. Wider is less noticeable. But at f22 they can be quite funky. It doesn't affect the image at all. And if you paid the money, you'd be shooting this between f4 and f7. Show's pretty much over by f8.

Thurs. 4-17 12:21 PM PST; late this afternoon and through the Easter weekend I'll have limited or no computer access. So if you decide you want this, I may be slow responding.

yeah--and if you decide you got ripped off after you buy it, he'll also be slow in responding with the money--and he'll take a "restocking fee" cut after telling you to "suck it".

Buy, try and see the truth. This Jim Galli is a crook that preys on the uneducated. He contributes nothing to the forum but posts which are mini-advertisements for selling items--he only sells. Buyer beware.

I talk real tough, but the folks who know me . . .

Reasonable offers considered. Ebay also a REAL possibility. I'm very low on cash.

still waaaay above market in my humble opinion. Quarter it, at least. But again you do not have to listen to me

Edit: I meant start with an auction at quarter price if you are looking to sell on eBay.
