I bought this for a dollar. Is there anything special about it? Or did I just buy some strange generic lens?

    Looks like a projector lens.

I have something similar--only bigger. It is a lens made for a TV camera.

It has the look of an early Tamron lens I have, but there are many lenses like that made for early CCTV camera's.

It's Chinese. In the second picture, the two characters are "Jing Jiang", probably the company name. The characters in the third picture read "Sa Shi Camera Factory". Sa Shi is a small city in Hunan (?) Province. All the above according and thanks to my wife, who grew up in China.
