Just wanted to know where do you buy arches platine?
Daniel Smith has it, probably other art supply places as well.
Both of my local art supply stores carry it
Talas is another good source of Arches Platine and other papers for alt. process.
Funny, I just bought some from Daniel Smith about three minutes ago.
I get my Arches Platine from Stephen Kinsella. They are local and I can call and place the order and pick it up on my way home from work.
Talas is cheaper than my local place which has to special order it.
Thanks for the info everyone... I'll give a ring to my local store and see if they can get it in.
my local art supply stocks several Arches papers, but not Platine
is Platine greatly different/better than Arches Watercolor Smooth 100% cotton, 185 or 300 gsm?
It's a very different paper. Whether better for a given purpose is a personal judgment call; I didn't care for it for gum printing.
I don't know where you are located but I get Arches Platine in Toronto, Canada at Woolfits - http://www.woolfitts.com/
My local Dick Blick store stocks it. I'm sure it is on their web site also
Just got the paper from Daniel Smith. They do very a nice job packaging, none of the corners were even a little curled, all the sheets look pristine.
