I saw the show at the ICP on the weekend. It was beautiful.
Jeff, you're so lucky to have seen it in person. Maybe they will bring it to L.A., I'll have to check and see if there is a schedule.
I saw the "Portraits of Power" exhibit in Washington last year. I would dearly love to see this!
The GF and I decided to head off to NYC from Toronto for the weekend. Turned into a great photography weekend. Saw the Avedon show at ICP, the Model as Muse photos at the MOMA and stopped by the Leica Gallery on Broadway it had a show by Ed Kashi. Can't forget B+H where I bought a glass neg holder for my scanner, but we shouldn't talk about that here... At some point we had some really good food. NYC is a great, great city.
A wonderful little film, reminds me that I need a few more books by Avedon.
A couple of months ago I picked up his book "Performance" in Borders. Big, gorgeous book of his work with actors, dancers, etc. Being a dance photographer myself, I just had to have it!
I have one by Avedon,Portraits Published in 2002.
Sounds quite interesting. I have to look into that.
