    Hello all,
My wife purchased a Toyo 4x5 camera from here a while back and wants to start trying wet plate with it. I've looked and looked and I cannot find 4x5 Wet Plate Holders for her (nor can she). I think a company called MMP or MPP makes them as well as Linhof, but they're apparently kind of rare. If anyone has one or two that they're willing to part with, please send me a PM or email (matthewjmorse@gmail.com). I guess they have to fit in her Toyo so keep that in mind, please.

    Thanks in advance,
    Matthew

Jody Ake is manufacturing some new very nice looking 4x5 wet plate holders. His holder site is at http://incameraindustries.com/ although it doesn't list the new holders yet.

I use a holder made by Lund Photographics and have found it to be very satisfactory, as has dealing with Niles Lund. Bill Barber

    +1 for Jody Ake.

The first group of 4x5 holders are sold, with more in production.

There was a company called MPP (Micro Precision Products) based in England - The company went out of business back in the early 80's. They did make a range of holders for both film and dry plates amongst other things. The plate holders are rare enough over here, so I'd imagine they would be like the proverbial rocking horse dung in the USA. Looks like Jody may well be your best bet.

P.S. Got a couple of the MPP holders myself, but they are not for sale
