Change to titanium soon after commercial production began? My F has a cloth shutter and my father bought it new in 1974...
I too thought that was rubberized cloth in my F3, until now.
If it is like mine (1964) I suspect the creases in the thin titanium make you think it is cloth.:)
Funny, today I looked at a black Nikon F, serial number 640050, and the price was 245k less. I suppose I'll have to go back and buy it before someone else does.
