This Efke IR820C film is produced with a slightly different organic sensitivity dye because the old one (from Maco) was not available anymore.

So more or less the same.

In the mean time Rollei/Maco has produced a new IR 850nm film, based on APX 100 (Agfa) emulsion (also iso 100). This new extended I.R. film should be available in about 2 months.

The Rollei IR-820/400 film (iso 400) is the other Rollei IR film alternative. But the sensitivity of this film is going down fast over 750nm. This film must be used with a 695nm or 715nm "black" I.R. filter to get the 'wood' effect.

Best regards,

Robert

This is great news for IR lovers. Along with the 3 films Robert has mentioned above, Ilford's SFX is also back.
