So is this the "prototype" that has been sent out for testing? -

I was asked to wait for a reply before a comment - but a comment is long overdue - I can say -- be careful what you wish for, if the IR selectivity of a film is too tight, it can leave much of the image missing due to the lack of an IR component. Imagine a film that was only sensitive to Fire Engine Red. The image would have large gaps with no exposure at all. I think the IR effect is best tempered with some kind of general response or contrast and gaps become overwelming. Just a thought ... Other than that ... there are some pretty cool materials on the horizon ...

In the mean time Rollei/Maco has produced a new IR 850nm film, based on APX 100 (Agfa) emulsion (also iso 100). This new extended I.R. film should be available in about 2 months.
