Recieved my copy of B&W this week. I read every interesting bit in about 5 minutes. The "go over to digital articals" do not contain any usefull information for even a digital shooter. The are just anecdotal. The DSLR listing is nothing short of insulting. How can anyone think that readers consider this anything more than effortless pagefilling, every month more or less the same list, while new additions to such list are advertised in the same magazine in a not-to-be-missed fashion anyway.
Me personally could also do without the articals of Jerry Lebens, who has forgotten there are analog photographers, since he has gone digi himself. This was, I think, most obvious in his artical about the usefullness of a octagonal softbox in one of the latest issues. In stating that he couldn't be arssed to measure light since his digicam does this for him, he rendered this artical rather useless for analog shooters, dismissing them as serious public for the magazine.
The anounced content for the next issue doesn't install much hope, an artical on tradtional technique discussing new digital papers????
I'm in the middle of a 2 year subscribtion so I'll be around for a while to see were this goes. For now I'm not giving in to the temptation to ask my money back, but this is not what I signed up for....
