Default Gevaert B&W Reversal Processing

First Developer

Metol 2g
Hydroquinone 8g
Sodium Sulphite (anhyd) 50g
Sodium Carbonate (anhyd) 60g
Potassium Bromide 5g
Potassium Thiocyanate 5g
Water to make 1 litre

Develop 20°C (68°F) 8-11 minutes fast films
6-9 minutes slower, fine grain films.

Wash 5 mins

Reversal & Clearing

Reversal Bath

Water 750ml
Potassium Dichromate 5g
Sulphuric acid (conc) 10 ml
Water to 1 litre

ADD THE SULPHURIC ACID DROP BY DROP TO THE 750ml WITH CARE.

Reversal 5 - 7 minutes

Wash 1 - 2 minutes

Clearing Bath

Sodium Sulphite (anhyd) 20g
Sodium Hydroxide 0.8g
Water to 1 litre

Clear for 2 - 3 minutes

Second Exposure


Expose to 100 watt light bulb for 5 - 10 minutes at a distance of approx 1.5 metres.

Second Development


Metol 2g
Hydroquinone 4g
Sodium Sulphite (anhyd) 60g
Sodium Carbonate (anhyd) 40g
Potassium Bromide 1g
Water to make 1 litre

Stop development when the desired density has been reached. Rinse.

Fixing.


Fix in normal acid fixing bath. Wash for 30 minutes.
