As far as I know Hasselblad ceased production of the 503cw in 2008 and I doubt Mamiya are producing new rz67 or 7II's either, the kits still sold in stores are most likely old stock. I would love to be proven wrong though.

Your wish is my command.

I don't think I've bought a new film camera is probably 15 years or more. And I have dozens of them. There's enough older and robustly built (or not too hard to repair) film cameras around to last our lifetimes and then some....

The only web presence left for Mamiya is strictly digital, and all the web support information for all the Mamiya film cameras is gone.

But yes, a lot of the detailed support information they used to have is gone.

Thank you Oren!

Would you believe that I checked again late last week for information of this nature (on the Mamiya Leaf site) and as far as I could tell it was still not there?

Sadly though, anything film related is referred to only as a "Legacy" product.:(

Huh? I know they are for sale, but as far as I know they are old stock. Have you seen a 503cw with a production code from the last couple of years?

The new Mamiya Leaf website went up January 16, and initially had no information at all on film cameras. I remember it well, because I gave the Leaf rep on GetDPI an earful about it and also emailed MAC to ask about it. I'm sure others did too. The "Legacy" section was added two weeks later, at the end of January. It's still not what you'd call prominent, but at least it's there now. And MAC is still providing service - quite good, by all accounts - and technical support by email and phone.

The small LF camera makers it seems aren't able to keep up with demand. Any 2x3" or 4x5", of course, is potentially a hybrid camera as well. I don't know that Sinar is doing much for film these days, but Linhof still seems to have the traditional cameras in stock like the Master Tech Classic and Tech 3000, as well as the newer more digitally oriented view cameras that can also take rollfilm, like the 679 series and the Techno. Not sure about the current state of the Master GTL, the big studio camera.

Rollei Hy6 is still available from DHW in Germany, B&H, and some specialty shops in Hong Kong. They even have a new 6x6 film back released last year (which is fantastic, btw, but expensive).

Wow, I thought I'd get like three replies all saying "no." I personally don't buy new cameras, but my students and friends are constantly asking. One thing, the Vivitar is dreadful. I try to steer my students away from them. And I haven't seen the Cosina for sale anywhere. I was amazed to see the Kenko. Thanks for that. As usual the APUG Gang has really come through. Also, after first posting this thread, I walked out of my apartment and a guy on my block was having a stoop sale. He had a fully working very clean Pentax K-1000 for sale for $25.00, with a camera bag and lens cap. Bought it. I'm accumulating 35mm film cameras for my students.

would any stores that sell other kenko products be able to order the camera?

And if you do get your hands on one please post about it here.
