I don't feel so bad spending $4 per sheet of 8x10 film. Ruhter was spending $500 per shot. Not to mention the extra gear to cut the metal plates and the gigantic van to do the shooting. His photos are totally real, one of a kind.

He fell, but he never lost the sight of what he visualise. This is really something he overcome because he believes rather than look at others and wow. Admirable!

So inspiring! I really HAVE to find time and try it SOON!

Have a look at this also: The Three Graces (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-d89SSKedA&feature=colike) - very nice, though on a smaller scale. A bit.

fantastic!! I also love the "Breaking Bad" theme during the opening of the video... wonder how many times he has been asked what he is "cooking" in that truck?

I saw a post in a Linkedin group about "traveling with a 100 year old Mammoth view camera creating 20x24 inch black glass ambrotypes". I was impressed and wanted to share it with you folks.

They made a nice film about their work process and posted it on vimeo.com. See:

Their website about their Execution Project with more info and nice examples:

They make also tintypes of insects, etc.
