I like having two cameras.

Two cameras is good, but dividing them up as we did with North America versus the rest of the world does dilute the spirit of the project.

OK - seems like we've already reached somewhat of a consensus. Two cameras it is, then, and I'm picking up the Tri-X on Friday.

The two cameras are point and shoots once again, but different ones. Cool ones, actually! Final list coming this weekend for sure.

Both cameras are going to have to spend some time in the U.S. for sure. Perhaps we can send one to Europe, and then one can go to Moose in Japan so we can say that both cameras are truly international.

I believe this has been done 10 times (1-6*, 7.1,7.2,8.1,8.2), and the cameras have come back 80% of the time (7.1 and 7.2 lost at sea?). Two seems prudent.

*6 - Camera 6 I believe had two cameras shipped but they traveled together and for this purpose I consider it 1 camera unit (per International Camera Trading Society, bylaw 78.3a).

However, like Steve says, let's pick names for them! These 9.1 and 9.2 names sound like software releases, heck these are analog cameras! Just no polarizing names such as, colour, organisation, aluminium:)

Okay, but since there are 23 of us, I get two shots and you get only one!

Rick, since we're doing two cameras, the deal is off. I want my two or three shots! :bandit:

George and Ansel.

So all our pictures turn out technically perfect but slightly boring?

How about Weegee & Brassai?

I want to be on Siles team this time around, not because hers won, but I need a change of scenery(lol).

We can call the European camera Atget and the U.S camera Hine... Eugene and Lewis would be proud!

The US and European cameras eh? What about Canada and Japan? Karsh and Daido?

The last time it was US and the rest of the world.

Great, two cameras, and two (or maybe even three) shots for each participant!
But what's this Tri-X thing you keep talking about? Since this is the Pre-Launch discussion, shouldn't we at least pretend to discuss what film to use before you overrule the discussion by using Tri-X?
We can't possibly have the cameras go out into the world before there's at least 17 pages of comments here, now, can we? :D:munch::munch:

Yeah...we're discussing how we are going to use Tri-X...

Only 17 pages? We're halfway there...

I vote for Tri-X 320 in 35mm format. :whistling:

Wilhelmina and Eulalia.

And I vote Plus-X, since it's on its way out.

Haha. I prefer color, actually, but you are right. We can discuss it, for sure.

But...too many film choices + too many chefs = can't make everyone happy, right?

How about we limit the discussion to Color v. B&W like we did last round?

And since we did color last round, I figured B&W this round. And is there a B&W film more suited for general shooting than Tri-X? So that pretty much narrows down the discussion, doesn't it? That's if we do B&W.

As for 320 or 400 Tri-X? What in the world can POSSIBLY be the difference?

Ooops, sorry about that..
