I've been unable to find Black & White Photography (UK) since the December issue. It normally arrives late the issuing month or early the next month. I've been to the three usual stores that carry it but no luck, haven't tried Chapters yet though. It's a little out of the way for me. Has any one else in Canada seen it? Was it dropped by the usual distributor?

I saw it in a cigar store last week. I didn't see what the issue date was, but it was the issue that had the "apug" article in it.

Theres a good spot on Queen St. E, north side of the street. several blocks east of Kew Beach. Found it during the Jazz Festival last year.

The store that I normally go to has dropped it. It seems a distributor went under and it was one of their imports.

Isn't that the U.S. version? It's filled with ads for New York & California galleries.

Hmmm...sorry but I can't confirm that. I picked it up, looked at the cover, saw the price and put it back down. Buying it would have been a clear violation of the code of ethics for a charter member of the cheapskates club :)

I'm in the US - found a copy of the January issue yesterday in Barnes & Noble. Borders didn't have it yet. I sense that it arrives about a month behind the cover date on this side of the pond.

By the way - they have changed the format a bit, so you may not recognize it unless you look closely. The January cover is a Rolfe Horne seascape - red stripe across the very top with the words "Black & White Photography" just below in stark white against the black sky of the image.

I just picked up the January issue from the local Chapters outlet. (the Black and White Photography - the UK publication)

There is a comprehensive book and magazine store on Queen West, somewhere around John street. There have quite a few "art" type magazine, so should probably have it. It's been a while since I was in Toronto, so I can't recall if they carry it or not.

Thanks folks, I think I'll try Chapters this weekend.

Craig; the store you spoke of is Pages. A great store, just a little further out of the way than Chapters.

Dave; I'm envious, you've got the magazine and warm weather.

rogueish; That store is one of my usual places to pick up magazines.

You are lucky; on my side of the world, I was able to get the November issue last month. At this rate, I'll hopefully see January sometime in March.
