Loose Gravel 05-09-2005, 12:31 PM I'm shooting BW and with the 45mm I don't see any problems. Certainly the 90mm will be okay. Save your money for film. carbromac 05-09-2005, 02:17 PM The 90 is no problem, with the 45mm if your under F11 no problem, check the hasselblad web site for FAQ on the Xpan, it is a great camera. david b 05-09-2005, 04:09 PM I've read mixed replies. Some say you need it. Some say you don't. Loose Gravel 05-09-2005, 04:53 PM I've read mixed replies. Some say you need it. Some say you don't. David, time for you to cast the deciding vote. david b 05-09-2005, 04:55 PM Yes Indeed!!! david b 05-09-2005, 04:56 PM Hey Loose, where are your photos? Loose Gravel 05-09-2005, 05:24 PM On my desk. Thomassauerwein 05-09-2005, 08:24 PM I bought a Center density for the 45. The focus is really strange, not really sharp almost a double focus. I've found it easier to shoot past f11 and carry a monopod for slower shutter speeds. The weird focus combined with 1 stop loss of light really makes the center density kind of useless. There is a definate image circle fall off that if you don't want it willl dissapoint once you see the film. david b 05-09-2005, 09:08 PM well...here i go spending money again. xpan plus 45mm and 90mm $1300 xpan neg carrier $160 xpan center filter $250 hiding all of this from my girlfriend ... deadly david b 05-09-2005, 09:08 PM I don't have the manual yet but how do you check the film counter? billschwab 05-09-2005, 09:34 PM well...here i go spending money again. xpan center filter $250 You won't be disappointed. I've shot both with and without the filter. With is far better in my opinion. Enjoy, Bill Loose Gravel 05-09-2005, 10:19 PM I don't have the manual yet but how do you check the film counter? The manual I got was a joke. The film counter is in the top window. It tells how many frames of the current size set are left. On a 36 roll, there are 20 long frames. david b 05-09-2005, 10:37 PM How many "long frames" on a roll of 24? Loose Gravel 05-10-2005, 11:49 AM How many "long frames" on a roll of 24? 20/36 * 24 = 13.3 david b 05-12-2005, 06:49 PM Yes...13 on a 24 roll. titrisol 05-13-2005, 10:25 AM GOOGLE is your frined The manual (in french) here: http://xpan.free.fr/documentation.htm I don't have the manual yet but how do you check the film counter? |
