Is anyone out there using these laser photo recorders to make digital negs for contact printing? I'm not set up to test this yet (I'm making my foray into digital negs and alt processes this summer with my eyes on carbon printing, but I digress...).
My working theory is they should have enough density (about 2.0 for Fuji Crystal Archive I believe) and it's a heck of a lot easier and cheaper than buying the latest Epson printer. Known drawback: that pesky writing on the back--you'd have to split the RC paper and deal with any problems that poses to get rid of the Fuji logo. Not impossible, but a pain. Hmmm....
