View Full Version : Cheers from Connecticut! JustK 06-02-2005, 03:34 PM Greetings, my name is Krystyna, I live in CT, and I am happy to have found this forum, I have learned so much already, and it is good to know there are some local folks around here too. I am relatively new to traditional B & W, I've been taking classes for the past two years, and have now set up a darkroom and workroom, it is all very exciting, and it has been very expensive (!), as you all know. I also moved up to medium format this year, and am still getting used to the "square". My favorite master photographer is Minor White, not only for his photography, but also for his approach to his life and his work. I look forward to participating in this forum, and hopefully meeting some of you New Englanders on your next field trip/outing. :) :) :) Flotsam 06-02-2005, 04:58 PM Hi Krystyna,
I'm in neighboring New York State and have worked in, and driven through CT. many times. Mostly along the coast. It is a beautiful and varied State for photography.
You've found a great site. I'm always amazed by the range of knowledge and willingness to share there is here.
I hope that you'll post some of your photographs in the gallery. papagene 06-02-2005, 07:13 PM Keep an eye peeled to this forum. There may be more stuff happening in the future.

Mike Whiteymorange 06-03-2005, 12:47 PM Welcome to APUG, Krystyna! I grew up around Hartford and now live outside Boston. Still got family all over CT though and visit a couple of times a month. Hope you'll participate in our NE regional get-together about a possible show or two.

Bob. JustK 06-06-2005, 06:49 PM Thanks to all both near and far for the warm welcomes!
Also, to WhiteyMorange, like you I too grew up in the Hartford area, in Hartford, it was a great place to grow up back in those days, I still live relatively nearby, and visit often enough.
Lastly, to JJStafford, in answer to your question, see the above, do you too have a connection to CT?
Blessings,
