Is there a source anywhere for pre-coated platinum/palladium paper? I remember this wonderful paper from some ten years ago that seems to be no longer available, but am wondering if there is another source. Is hand coating the only way now?

Thanks.

The old paper was called Palladio, and I don't think it's come back. Long ago, there were multiple brands of commercial pt/pd papers. Maybe one of the smaller manufacturers could bring it back.

Hand coating seems to be the way.

No. Believe me I have looked and looked.

So, yes hand coating is the way to go.

I still have a box of the Palladio paper. How long will it last in the original package? I think it is about 8 years old.

Any chance someone like Kentmere might resurrect the old Palladio formula? That was great paper -- what little I used it -- and suspect there would be a good market for it now. Any rumors out there?

I think Kentmere would be the ideal manufacturer for a new Pt/Pd paper. Don't they actually manufacture CAW POP?

according to albumenworks site Kentmere manufactures POP and also does special runs yearly for certain sizes and rolls.

I started Pt/Pd with Palladio paper. It was wonderful. Little wonder Frederick Evans stopped printing when commmercially prepared Pt paper was no longer available.

A friend gave me some Palladio paper of approximately the same vintage as you mention. I opened it and found that the coating had migrated all the way through the paper, so you could not tell which was the coated side.

If the paper looks like it was only coated on one side, it might be good. I do know that if you can't tell which side is coated it is bad.
