View Full Version : Great Lakes Region APUG Group PeterDendrinos 09-06-2005, 05:07 PM Now that Sean has provided us with our own regional focus group, I thought it might be appropriate to begin to collect names of those that might be specifically interested in whatever events might be cooked up. As names are collected emails could be sent out with heads up info or what ever.
I would be happy to maintain that list if it sounds like something worthwhile.
Pete jp80874 09-06-2005, 07:18 PM Details sent by PM. Thanks for doing this.
John Powers BWGirl 09-06-2005, 10:31 PM Hey Peter!
Thanks for getting this going! pm sent! :) PeterDendrinos 09-07-2005, 08:33 AM I have added a few names, please keep them coming. I have the ability to track lots of info. If you could provide name address or at least city, state that would be helpful. As well perhaps formats you shoot and an email address.
Thanks
Pete Dendrinos PeterDendrinos 09-07-2005, 01:00 PM We are up to 10 names. Thats not too many. There must be more of you out there potentially interested in whatever might get thought up.
Pm me with your info, and you will be in the loop and one of the cool kids.
Pete PeterDendrinos 09-08-2005, 02:53 PM just a note to keep this fresh. How do i make this "sticky"

I believe that Sean has to do that. He did that for me with "One Camera Around The World" thread.

Hello Pete,
I read you post the other day and this is the first chance that I have had to contact you.
My name is Jim Mirek and I am from South East Wisconsin, near the Illinois border, between Chicago and Milwaukee.
I have been interested in photography for 50 years and have most most of the formats thru 4x5, having sold my 8x10 a couple of months ago. I do color and B&W darkroom work however, since embarking on building my presant house, have not had it set up for several years.
I wish you luck and hope this develops into something. Please put me on your list.
Thank you
Jim

Pete robert watling 10-27-2005, 03:15 AM Hi Pete,
I just joined this forum yesterday but I'd like to meet other photographers in my area, Northeast Ohio, specifically Akron, Ohio, near Cleveland and I'd be interested in events in the region. Thanks.

I've been looking at doing some workshops up there as I am close to many great places to photograph. Perhaps something can be arranged for a group meeting there sometime.
Bill Uncle Bill 11-27-2005, 06:11 PM Anyone thought of doing a subgroup for Southern Ontario in Canada and UpState New York? Kind of like a cell inside the Great Lakes APUG Group, sort of like Al Queada with cameras instead of bombs and guns. More along the lines of the gatherings with Rangefinder Forum, casual get together, show and tell with the gear, some shooting and later on drinking fine micro brewed beer. Thoughts, ideas?
Bill Flipfreal 01-19-2006, 11:56 AM I'd love to be included on your list. Am in the Detroit area.
Thanks! m. dowdall 02-05-2006, 07:44 AM I live in Toronto and would like to be included in this group. I'm looking to get out more often and contribute to the survival of film manufacturers.
Michael epatsellis 02-05-2006, 11:03 AM Hello all,
I live in rural Shelbyville, IL and shoot 35, 4x5 and 8x10. I'd love to get out more with other photographers and shoot.
erie patsellis Earl Dunbar 02-05-2006, 01:17 PM Erie: Welcome here. Shelbyville is a little far from all but Lake Michigan, but if you get to the Michigan/southern Ontario/western NY area, I'm sure you'd be able to hook up.
BTW, years ago I knew the Shasteen family who lived in Shelbyville. jeroldharter 02-05-2006, 02:03 PM I live in Stevens Point, WI. Use 4x5. Longtime in photography but new to large format B&W within the last year.
Jamie Harter I've been to Shelbyville once or twice, in the dim, distant past. I'm in Elkhart, on the Indiana/Michigan border. I'm also a member of the Midwest LF Asylum; we get together at Turkey Run State Park on occasion, which is in your neck of the woods, more or less. You're welcome to join us, any time!
